We are Greenco Solutions.   Although newly established in Wellington in 2014, we bring two year’s experience working in the Solar Industry in Australia, and over 200 solar PV installations to our credit.   We are committed to bring to New Zealanders the benefits of sustainable energy solutions which have long been enjoyed in other countries.

Solar PV.   Silicon PV cells convert sunlight into electricity by an energy conversion process producing direct current (DC) electricity.   An inverter converts the DC electricity to Grid mains AC electricity and regulates the generated power to make it suitable for household use and sending of excess to the grid.   Special export electricity meters supplied by your electricity provider allow excess generation to be sold.   Increases in world demand and manufacturing capacity have resulted in cost reductions making this technology now feasible for local residential use.

LED Lighting.   LED (Light Emitting Diodes) are the latest and most exciting technological advancement in the lighting industry. LEDs are small, solid light bulbs which are extremely energy efficient and long lasting.   LEDs operate differently than traditional incandescent light bulbs.   This makes LEDs far more rugged and durable than traditional incandescent light bulbs.   LED technology also offers many additional advantages over incandescent, neon and compact fluorescent lighting devices - such as exceptionally longer life span (60,000 hours), much lower energy usage (90% more efficient), reduced maintenance costs and higher safety.
